Fondazione di Sardegna, a private, non-profit legal entity with full statutory and management autonomy, pursues objectives of public interest and social utility. Specifically, it promotes the socioeconomic development of the Sardinia Region and pursues its goals, within predefined areas of intervention, by awarding grants or funding to projects and initiatives of others, or by promoting its own projects and initiatives, including in collaboration with other public and private entities.
As part of its regional activities, Fondazione di Sardegna has established the subsidiary company Innois Srl. Its statutory purpose is to promote and implement artistic, cultural, research, and innovation activities related to regional development, and specifically, for the purposes of this paper, to manage services related to the Foundation's operations. These services are aimed at pursuing its statutory objectives, including through the implementation of research, innovation, and regional development initiatives, including international ones, in order to foster collaborative processes involving small and large companies, social enterprises, cultural enterprises, schools, universities, fablabs, and incubators/accelerators. To achieve its statutory objectives, the Company may organize and manage, including by outsourcing, all services that enable and accompany the events, conferences, and exhibitions for their entire duration. Innois is therefore the implementing entity to which Fondazione di Sardegna entrusts the management of the resources made available by the Foundation itself and/or the resources raised through sponsorship research.

Sardegna Ricerche is a regional agency established by Regional Law 20/2015.
The agency pursues the institutional goals of promoting research, innovation, and technological development, assisting businesses and providing services, and the objectives of effectiveness, efficiency, impartiality, simplification, participation, and promotion of businesses and research organizations.
